About Mercury

Mercury is a high-purity, naturally occurring heavy metal with the chemical symbol Hg and atomic number 80. It is a unique element known for being the only metal that exists in liquid form at room temperature, exhibiting a bright, silvery-white appearance and high density.

This liquid metal has excellent electrical conductivity and forms alloys (amalgams) easily with metals such as gold, silver, and tin, making it highly valuable in industrial and laboratory applications.

Mercury features a wide liquid temperature range, with a melting point of approximately -38.83C and a boiling point of 356.7C, ensuring stability across various operating conditions.
