About Laboratory Furnaces
A Laboratory Furnace is a high-temperature heating equipment designed for controlled heating, annealing, ashing, sintering, and heat treatment of materials in scientific and industrial applications. It provides uniform temperature distribution in a closed chamber, ensuring accurate and reliable thermal processing of samples.
Laboratory furnaces are widely used in metallurgical laboratories, research institutions, ceramics industries, chemical labs, and quality control departments.
Key Features
- High-temperature operation up to 1100C / 1400C / 1800C (model dependent)
- High-grade ceramic fiber insulation for energy efficiency
- Digital PID temperature controller for precise control
- Uniform heat distribution inside chamber
- Rapid heating and stable temperature maintenance
- Heavy-duty outer body with corrosion-resistant finish
- Safety features including over-temperature protection
- Available in box, muffle, and tube furnace models
Working Principle
A laboratory furnace works on the principle of electrical resistance heating. When electric current passes through heating elements (nichrome or silicon carbide), heat is generated and transferred uniformly inside the insulated chamber, allowing precise thermal treatment of samples.
Applications
- Ashing and ignition of samples
